Leaderboards were frequently changing during Friday’s round from top to bottom.
Henna Blomroos rallied from a slow start to stay up top in FPO with a two-stroke lead. A new lead card will join her with strong rounds from Kristin Tattar (up 5 spots), Rebecca Cox (up 11 spots) and Eveliina Salonen (up 10 spots).
Six more divisions had a change up top after Friday’s round at Cedarock Park in Alamance County:
- In FA1, Addison Woodard and Brook Johnson are tied with a two-stroke lead. Kylie Kohut had the hot round to move to solo third, two strokes off of the lead. Virginia Polkinghorne will round out the lead card in a three-way tie for fourth with Therese Cuevas and Jennifer Smiley, who are three strokes out of the lead.
- Janice Jones had the hot round by four strokes to jump to a four-stroke lead in FA60. Jones shot 91 points above her rating. Janet Crenshaw is in second.
- Shooting 120 points above her rating, Janna Tighe leads FA2 by one stroke over Samantha Landers. Tighe birdied the final three holes on the Cedarock track for a 4-under round in the wind.
- Abigail MacDonald had an eagle on hole 17 and birdied 18 for the hot round to take the solo lead in FA3. Clarisa Bingham had the hot round to jump to solo second place.
- Dominique Preudhomme Martin now has a share of the lead with Ciara Adams after shooting the hot round in FA4. Their lead is four strokes over Tammy Giorgi.
- In FJ12, Peyton Kohut had the hot round to grab the solo lead. Her 4-under, 907-rated round gives her a four-stroke lead over MJ Gager in second. Journey Priddy had the only other round under par to move to third.
Those are the new leaders, but there are plenty of battles to keep an eye one throughout the rest of the 21-division field:
- Amy Cooper kept her lead, but it dropped to one stroke over Sandy Gast and Donna Barr. Barrett White had the hot round and will round out the lead card two strokes off the pace.
- In FA40, Jaima Cartwright (-6) kept her one-stroke lead, but will be joined by a new card of Michelle Cable (-5), Christel Tatro (-3) and Linda Binz Ray, who will round out the lead card tied for fourth with Janae Chaney, Janet Hershey and Brandi Buckalew.
- Patricia Neprud-Mehls and Patti Adams have gone step-for-step so far this weekend in the FA70. The two matched scores for the second-straight day. Adams is averaging 70 points above her rating.
- In FJ10, Hayden Harper had an 870-rated round and is averaging 99 points above her rating.
