Isaac Robinson had the best finish of anyone in the field with birdies on four of the last five for an 8-under round and is one stroke back in solo second place.
Drew Gibson, who earned his spot in the 26th USDGC on Monday Qualifying, set the early pace a 7-under and is in a three-way tie for third with Gannon Buhr and Ezra Aderhold, who will lead the chase card.
