All the players, and ourselves,had in mind Paige Pierce, who slipped and suffered a fracture that takes her away from the biggest competitions of the season in the worst possible way.
The number of high-level players was on display from the start of the round, and in fact it was the third card that started to make very good scores: Sarah Hokom, with one under par, took advantage of her forehand flex lines with stable drives to navigate the demanding fairways of Øveras Disc Golf Park.
The PDGA EuroTour and Disc Golf Pro Tour makes its way out to Vestnes, Norway for the 2023 PCS Open presented by Innova. The PCS Open is the sixth stop of the Euro Tour and takes place just one week before the European Open, so many of the best MPO and FPO players that had been competing on tour in the US are making their way to Norway.
Both the FPO and MPO fields saw familiar faces holding down the lead during the final round of the 2023 DGPT — Preserve Championship Powered by Prodigy. Catrina Allen came out on top after battling back and forth with Kristin Tattar and Ricky Wysocki kept charging to maintain a comfortable cushion over the rest of the MPO field.

After shooting the course record in the opening round, Catrina Allen started Moving Day with a four-stroke lead over the field. Allen had a bit of a rocky start, taking a stretch of pars after a bogey on Hole 2.
“I felt not the most comfortable to start the round, I felt a little nervy,” Allen said after the round, “It took me until I would say about Hole 6 to get in the mindset I was in all day yesterday.”
Founded and designed by touring professional Cale Leiviska, the Airborn Disc Golf Preserve in Clearwater, Minnesota is the #1 rated course in the state according to UDisc. The Preserve Championship made its debut in 2020 and is now in its fourth year as an Elite Series event.

After multiple weather delays during the FPO division’s second round of the 2023 TruBank Des Moines Challenge, the DGPT suspended play on Saturday in accordance with its weather policies.
On Sunday, FPO players resumed Round 2 from their previous lies and immediately started Round 3 once scores were tallied. Since most MPO competitors had not started their second round on Saturday, the MPO tournament was shortened to two rounds.
With one last day at Pickard Park, the FPO field saw a repeat winner and the MPO field saw an Iowa native take down the win.
After lengthy delays and continued monitoring of weather patterns on the ground at the Trubank Des Moines Challenge presented by Discraft, the DGPT suspended play on Saturday in accordance with its weather policies.

This marks the 33rd year of the event and its third year as a Disc Golf Pro Tour Elite Series Event. It's also the second of three-straight stops on the Elite Series.
