Full coverage of the Women’s Division I singles action will be posted on the PDGA’s YouTube channel, and it sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting week at the 2024 College Disc Golf National Championship.

In Men’s Division I singles, a new national champion will be crowned as the field battled whipping winds around Winthrop’s Lakefront course – a track that features several iconic holes from the famed USDGC layout.

Oklahoma Baptist’s James Owens set the pace with a 3-under round and there are nine players within three strokes of the lead, including a trio at 2-under: Milligan’s Benjamin Wagner, Oklahoma Christian’s Henry Bente and Cincinnati’s Ilkin Groh, a two-time PDGA Major winner who is making his College Disc Golf debut this season.

There’s nine holes left on Thursday to crown another College Disc Golf National Champion.

The singles action from Wednesday also set the stage for the teams standings, which begins on Thursday in Division I. All singles scores are averaged, and that number is used to determine the team standings.

In Women’s Division I, Liberty University’s Julia Dimartino and Maggie Presley lead Clemson’s Missouri Wolff and Noelle Erb by one stroke. That action will be covered by Ace Run Pro on posted on the PDGA’s YouTube channel.

Emporia State’s Atlanta Krueger and Maya Ringgold are also one stroke back and will be on the chase card with UNC’s Kelly and her partner, Nadya Gutierrez. Three more teams are within four strokes of the lead.

On the men’s side, it’s a tie at the top between Emporia State and Cincinnati – the 1-2 finishers from the 2023 CDGNC. Right behind them, just one stroke back, is NC State and UNC Charlotte.

In the Men’s Division II team standings, there’s a four-way between UC Santa Cruz, North Carolina, Minnesota, and the University of Wisconsin – Stout. Four more teams are one stroke back.

Texas Tech’s Justin Durham jumped to an early lead in singles and the rest of the DII singles field hits the course on Thursday.

After one round of doubles action in DIII, Liberty University jumped out to a four-stroke lead. DIII action shifts to singles on Thursday.
