PDGA Membership is Evolving in 2025

Your Core Member Benefits Remain Intact

Sunday, October 6, 2024 - 15:57

Compete. Connect. Contribute.

Since 1976, your PDGA membership and journey has enabled disc golf to grow around the world in a number of ways.

From competing as a player in PDGA sanctioned tournaments, connecting with the community around you, and contributing to tools and grant programs offered by the PDGA, your membership ensures that disc golf will continue to grow as a sport for everyone.

Same Core Benefits to Membership

Since 2007, through rising costs associated with operations and costs of goods in nearly every industry, the price of your PDGA membership hasn’t changed.

Beginning in 2025, the price you pay to compete, connect and contribute isn’t changing, it’s evolving and giving you the option to build your member experience.

Member feedback suggests that the greatest benefit to a PDGA membership is access to competition and the thousands of PDGA-sanctioned tournaments around the globe. A significant portion of your membership dues go toward enhancing and improving the player and tournament director experience, one that is constantly evolving and streamlining.

Access to competition and all of the tools that come with it are still available for the same membership dues. Similarly, benefits like access to player statistics and discounted access to Disc Golf Network will still be available for active PDGA members as part of your membership. However, the tangible items will be available for an additional and nominal price.

Membership 2025 FAQs >>

Beginning in 2025, the choice of what you receive will be yours. The items traditionally associated with a PDGA membership will still be available for those who would like to receive them.* By structuring membership this way, access to competition can continue to be available for the same membership costs that we have maintained for almost 20 years.

We Want to Hear From You

Ultimately, the PDGA is a member organization. While the changes described above are the result of the rise in costs associated with fulfilling memberships since 2007, we want to ensure that you are receiving the product that means the most to you, whether that’s competing as a player, hosting an event as a tournament director, connecting with the community around you or contributing to growing the sport around the world.
