2015 PDGA Am & Jr Disc Golf Worlds Courses

Coldbrook Park

14467 East MN Ave
Climax, MI 49034

Our area’s oldest course. It is an “old School” course that has a lot of holes that are as easy to birdie as they are to boogie. All 24 holes of Coldbrook will be played. While Coldbrook has gone through a few changes over the years, the basic characteristic of the course has remained. The majority of the holes go throughout the woods with only a few holes that are open. Elevation changes are on just about every hole. Hit your lines and make you putts and you will have a ton of fun at Coldbrook. Let the course get into your head and you will get mad!

Robert Morris

8401 E. H Ave
Kalamazoo, MI 49005

A pristine park overlooking a lake. The course will challenge all players with an excellent mix of technical and controlled distance shots. It has good elevation changes with playable fairways and great pin placements. Here is a great chance to open up with some big throws! Split into 2 nines, the front has more of the wooded holes and the back has the bigger open holes!

Vicksburg Recreation Area (ViRA)

12538 S Sprinkle Rd
Vicksburg, MI

Long and short tees on every hole. Scores can differ about 10 strokes between the different tees. Get your birdies when you have your chance, because there are a few holes that will take them back. Mainly a flat course, there are some holes with some length, even on the short tees. Tricky pin placements and water hazards, this course will challenge you! While there are woods mixed throughout the course there are plenty of opportunities to open up and throw, even in the woods! Play smart here!

Meyer Broadway South

14590 County Highway 110
Three Rivers, MI 49093

Features rolling hills and woods with both distance and accuracy required to score well. Playing the fairway is key on many holes as the rough is very unforgiving. The basket placements set to punish approach shots gone awry and you will have approach shots! There are several blind drives where knowledge of the pin will help! Good course to practice!

Meyer Broadway North

Broadway Rd and Roberts Rd
Three Rivers, MI 49093

Features rolling fairways and woods with very deep rough to punish errant drives. Distance will be at a premium as this course takes advantage of every bit of elevation allowed. Similar to the South course but just a little easier. Just a little! More holes that are reachable for more players and fewer holes that are blind.

Oshtemo Township Park

7485 W Main St
Kalamazoo, MI 49009

Nicely wooded course with primarily open fairways and 2 tees for each hole (longs will be the only ones we use). Accurate distance is essential from the long tees. Get into the rough and you may find yourself throwing a lot of pitch outs back to the fairway. Two elevated baskets highlight the slightly varying terrain. This course has only got harder with time as a lot of trees have gotten taller, getting rid of the over the top shot. Definitely a course where you need to play smart!

Timber Ridge Ski Area

7500 23 1/2 St
Gobles, MI 49055

World class course integrated into a ski area. Lots of elevation changes with exhilarating downhill shots and a mix of technical and distance shots. Most will have the chance to play this massive course. Unfortunately Timberidge will only be available for practice the week before Worlds and will be removed immediately afterwards. Make sure you play this legendary course while it is in (even if your division does not!). It might not ever be back! Practice will be $5/day.

Spinski’s Original

3360 25th Street
Hopkins, MI 49328

This is a short course that will require you to be at the top of your game. A lot of holes that can be reached by most, this is a deuce or die. Balanced left, right, and up the middle, this course has tight woods, a lot of elevation changes, and water hazards. Land your shot and make your putt!

Spinski’s Championship

3360 25th Street
Hopkins, MI 49328

A big and tight course that can lead to some high scores if you leave the fairway. Elevation changes on almost every hole. Longer holes where placement on your drive will be needed to give you that open second shot to get your three. OB will come into play on some holes. Solid and smart play can give you an edge on opponents!
