The PDGA Board of Directors has approved a new point system to determine the annual Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards. The system is designed to award points based on tournament performance and will be easier for players and members to track. The system will be used for the 2012 tournament season for all North American players for the POY/ROY awards presented in 2013. PDGA Europe will use a similar system based on their events to determine their annual award winners.
