Who’s got next?

A record field of 158 players will hit the famed Toboggan course in Milford, Michigan this weekend with a chance to join elite company, chase a PDGA Major title and continue their rise through the disc golf ranks.

As it’s been throughout the 21-year history of the United States Amateur Disc Golf Championship, the competition will be tough and the course even tougher beginning Friday.

PDGA Major Events are the premier national and international competitions for the sport of disc golf each year, featuring the world’s best disc golfers competing for World and National Titles in multiple skill, age, and gender-based divisions. These PDGA marquee events offer any city or town the chance to host an international sporting event in their community, drawing interest and attention to the location, and generating a significant economic impact for local businesses.

The PDGA is pleased to announce that four-time Elite Series TD, Jeff Jacquart, will become the Association’s first Director of Competition, beginning January 10, 2022.

The new directorate was created to oversee the development of all PDGA Majors and premier professional and amateur events, including coordination with the Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) and PDGA Euro Tour.

Twenty years ago, the United States Amateur Disc Golf Championship was created to test the next generation of disc golf professionals.

A look at the previous winners, especially in recent years, has proven that the goal has been accomplished.

Now, it's time to see who is next.

Over 150 players from throughout the country will tackle the famed Toboggan Course in Milford, Michigan for the 20th running of the USADGC, a PDGA Amateur Major Event, beginning Friday.

NORTH CALIFORNIA – Ten of the 17 divisions at the 2021 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championships are separated by five strokes or less at the top of the leader board.

There’s a PDGA Major title on the line on Championship Sunday.

“That’s what happens at a Major championship – you see more experienced players come out,” FPO leader Paige Pierce said. “They know moving day is important.”

NORTH CALIFORNIA — Kelley Snyder and her card mates shared a big laugh as their names were being announced prior to teeing off on Friday at Johnson Springview Park in Rocklin.

But just after that light-hearted moment, the game face was on.

That was the scene throughout the area on Friday as 263 players throughout 17 divisions and three courses kicked off the 2021 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championships, the first PDGA Pro Major of the year.

Twenty-two years ago, five-time PDGA World Champion Juliana Korver won the first edition of the Women's National Championship, besting eight players in the FPO division in a tournament that had a total field of 21 players.

The PDGA Majors Committee has established a preliminary list of premier disc golf events that will serve as automatic qualifiers for the inaugural PDGA Champions Cup, set to take place April 13-17, 2022, at the International Disc Golf Center in Appling, Georgia.

The 2022 PDGA Majors schedule has been released and includes 10 events beginning and ending in Rock Hill, SC.

The 2022 Majors will be contested in locations originally slated to host in 2021, but which were delayed one year after tournament directors and local organizing committees agreed to make room for events that were postponed in 2020.

The cancellation of 2020 PDGA World Championship events has resulted in several modifications to invite and points requirement criteria for when these tournaments run in 2021. Most importantly:

Upon the recommendation of the PDGA Majors and National Tour Committee, the PDGA Board of Directors has approved a minimum rating threshold for competition in the Open (MPO) division at PDGA Major and Elite Series events in 2020.

In order to compete in the MPO division at these tournaments, players must be rated 900 or better at the time they register for the event.

The USDGC is all that’s left for World Champ Paul McBeth to run-the-table on this year’s 4 majors – a historic run that’s brought on a discussion of how to define disc golf’s Grand Slam.

This season McBeth has been the talk of the disc golf world with jaw dropping play that’s amounted to record breaking rated-rounds (1132-rated final round at the Memorial Championship and then an 1119-rated final round at the Vibram Open).

The 2013 Tim Selinske United States Masters Championships came to a close today, and it was obvious that Tim was smiling down on the players as the rain held off for most of the day.  And the winners are…

When day two of the 2013 Tim Selinske United States Masters Championships was set to begin, the clouds started to build over Cedarock Park.  The Carolinas have a propensity to deliver afternoon showers in late Spring, and today would be no different.  With a two hour downpour in the early afternoon, the players would not only be challenged by the courses, but the elements as well.  Rain golf is different; some feel that a more conservative approach might assist in avoiding mistakes, while others play more aggressive in order to capitalize on others mild-mannered method.  We saw a bit of both, and the leaderboards have been shaken.

Round 1 at Valbyparken and the Latitude 64 Copenhagen Open saw some players’ discs soar while others were brought down to earth as they struggled to negotiate the OB lines and the gaps between the groves of oak and birch trees.
