Description

Mountain course at the northern mouth of beautiful Spearfish Canyon. Extreme elevation changes - over 300' from high point of 4,018' to the low point. Many unique features including a 27 spot practice putting green and four hanging baskets suspended from Black Hills pines. Expanded to 27 holes in July, 2013. Beautiful tee signs designed by local graphic artist. Picnic tables at each hole, trash cans throughout. In 2017, 26 artificial turf tees were installed (#20's tee is on a rock face). Rated as the top course in South Dakota and in the top 50 in the nation.

Directions

I-90; Exit 14 (Spearfish). Go west (right) on Colorado Blvd. 1 mile to a left on Hwy 14 at the Spearfish Canyon Country Club, 0.25 mile to a right on Winterville Dr., park in the parking lot before South Canyon St, walk down bike path 200 yards to the sign/maps.
