Twenty-one PDGA Major champions crowned and countless more memories made at the 2023 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championships.

A record-setting field from throughout the United States and around the world descended on Cedarock Park in Burlington, North Carolina in Alamance County for the annual event and the action was intense from start to finish.

Kristin Tattar made disc golf history, becoming the first FPO player to complete the season grand slam of the PDGA Majors while taking down her second USWDGC title.

There was plenty of drama on the course to close things out on Sunday.

• In FA1, Virgina Polkinghorne won her second Major title of 2023 in playoff fashion over Jennier Smiley, who turned in a blistering 952-rated final round to jump to a tie for first after regulation. Polkinghorne birdied six of the last seven holes to force the playoff, which the reigning FJ15 PDGA World Champion won on the first hole.
• In FA40, Brandi Buckalew surged on the final day, tying the hot round of the division for a three-stroke win in what was a tight and back-and-forth battle all week long.

• Patti Adams also claimed her second Major title of the year with a strong finish on Sunday, taking down the win in FA70. She shot nearly 100 points over her rating in the final round to roll to a six-stroke win after entering the final round down two strokes. Adams now has three USWDGC wins to go with back-to-back world championships, including 2023.

There were several close wins as well throughout the 21-division field.

• Allie Lawler closed out a wire-to-wire win by a single stroke over Amanda Wing in FA50. Lawler led by just two strokes every day.
• Abigail MacDonald took the outright lead after the second round and held off a strong push from the field on Sunday for a one-stroke lead in FA3.

• Kayla Hess and MJ Gager closed out their wins on the final day with both surging to the top of the leaderboards on Saturday in FJ15 and FJ12, respectively. Hess ended up winning by six strokes and Gager four.

There were also big wins.

• Jennifer Allen and Des Reading set the pace early and never looked back. Allen closed out her back-to-back USWDGC wins and her third PDGA Major title with an 11-stroke win in FP40. Reading grew her lead each day after a 995-rated opening day to roll to her sixth USWDGC title and 13th Major victory.
• In FJ10, Hayden Harper averaged 832 golf and won big with a plus-3 total over the four rounds, which would’ve given her the win in FA3 and FA4.
