Since 2012, the PDGA’s Women’s Global Event (WGE) has enabled women from all over the world to participate in one unifying event. The WGE gives women and girls the chance to compete with their peers, ones that share the same love of the game, no matter the distance between them. It reminds us that even if we are playing in a division by ourselves or are the only woman in the tournament, we are not alone. 

This year, Innova has come on as a title sponsor. With Innova's support, we are able to offer our best player's packs ever (an $88 dollar value) and for a flat rate of $28 (we will offer a 10% discount to international TDs to help offset the Customs/Vat costs). Zuca has also very generously promised 15 All-Terrain Zuca carts to give away in a raffle for TDs who order players packs by April 15, 2024. TDs who win these carts will then raffle the cart off to participants at their event. Carbella Designs is the trophy sponsor for 2024, offering the PDGA a significant discount on bags for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers.

Don’t want to go far? Consider hosting your own event. Below you’ll find some info to get you started.

Requirements of Running a WGE Event

• Event must be on May 18th or 19th (or you can hold it both days - OR you can have it as a 3-day tournament that starts on the 17th or ends on the 20th)
• The event should be at least two rounds
• Have at least three propagators participating
• Offer all 27 women's and girls' divisions. In the spirit of the event, we highly recommend that TDs run those divisions if they have even one player registered.
  • Events that only offer gender-based divisions must offer women's and girls' divisions as specified below:
  • Events that offer both mixed and gender-based divsisions must offer women's and girls' divisions as specified below:
    • Pro-Am events at A-Tier and below must offer all 27 women's and girls' divisions
    • A Pro-only B-Tier must offer all Pro women's divisions;
    • An Am-only A-Tier must offer all Am women's and Junior girls' divisions;
    • An Elite Series must offer FPO.
• Submit your event results by noon on May 21st

Benefits of Running a WGE Event

• The PDGA has waived all non-member and player fees for all WGE divisions at this global event so that it is more accessible for new players
