Update to Certificates of Insurance

Monday, March 4, 2024 - 10:32

In January, we announced that the PDGA has recently changed event insurance providers. Now, we are pleased to announce a change to the way our optional Certificates of Insurance, which extend coverage to additional insured parties such as parks departments or private venues in the United States and Canada, operate. This change represents a significant savings for our Tournament Directors who run multiple events that required COIs for the same additional insured party.

Under our new policy, a Certificate of Insurance issued to an additional insured party is valid for that particular additional insured party for calendar year 2024. For example, if you are running an event in March and another in September that both require that the Anytown Parks Department be listed as an Additional Insured, a single COI (and therefore, a single $50 fee) will cover both events. This relieves financial burdens on our TDs, and helps them create more value for our players.
